Alibaba is the Next Google, Here's Why

Alibaba's IPO made it one of the most valuable companies in the world. The Chinese giant debuted in the United States with a bang threatening different types of retail players. However, apart from the e-commerce industry, some analysts see Alibaba as a possible contender to search engine giant Google. The company's network may be a good foundation for taking on one of the internet's biggest player. Can Alibaba do it?

Alibaba sells products online but it can be considered as a "beast" on its chosen turf. It may do the same thing as other businesses online but it has a system that many find effective - thus the wider reach and strong patronization. What differentiates Alibaba is that it combines the parallels that separate Amazon's business from Google's and Microsoft's. According to Wired, Alibaba blurs the line between the differentiations of these companies.

Alibaba is steadily becoming a giant like these companies and possibly bigger according to analysts.

People can understand the potential of Alibaba once they examine its business structure. A report from Forrester Research called the company as the world's biggest digital ecosystem." This may seem very technical but this has been the key to the success of the company.

Jack Ma shared his thoughts on what Alibaba group wants to achieve with a note to investors: "We are not a company from China."

"We are an Internet company that happens to be in China." Bloomberg quoted the founder and CEO shared.

According to Yahoo Finance, what makes Alibaba different from Amazon and eBay competitors is that it does not try to compete head on. Instead, it surrounds the competition offering a different but also efficient system. The company also does not plan to conquer the e-commerce market of the United States. Instead, it plans to tap emerging markets making way for more opportunities for the company.

Analysts believe this approach and the company's evolving ecosystem can soon be at par with Google's established dominance.
